We're looking for new trustees.

Do you believe that migrants are an important and enriching part of our community?


Would you like to join a small, committed team helping migrants, including asylum seekers and refugees?


GYROS is a Norfolk-based charity founded in 1998. We support migrants and culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) communities in the East of England by providing free information, advice, guidance and advocacy on:​​ immigration, housing, Universal Credit, debt, EUSS, your rights in the UK, employment, education, health and more.


We are currently looking for new trustees to join our board.


Trustee Profile

No specific qualifications are required, and we welcome people of different ages and backgrounds.


Essential:

· Sharing the overall aims and ethics of the organisation

· Ability to attend regular monthly meetings and be available for any additional communications that may arise.


Welcome (but not essential) :

· Direct / lived experience of being part of a migrant community in the UK

· Experience of working / volunteering with culturally diverse communities.


We would welcome applicants with a background in:

· Finance

· PR / Communications

· Sales & Marketing


The post is voluntary but any expenses (e.g. travel) will be paid.

The time commitment is approximately 3 hours per month.

We have monthly, 2 hour board meetings which are either held at our office in Great Yarmouth or via zoom.

Depending on what arises, additional time / activities may be required.
